In 1987, Marco Piromalli founded LINK in Rome, a city he was deeply connected to and where he and other members of the LINK team lived and worked.
For the same reason, some time ago, when growth and the need for space necessitated a change of location, the choice once again fell on the area of the capital. “When we moved to look for a larger and more appropriate location, we decided to stay in the metropolitan area of Rome,” says Assunta Fratocchi, Managing Director of LINK. “Basically, we wanted to keep the staff and the team of people who helped grow the company intact over the years, and in this sense, excessive displacement from the city of Rome would have created discomfort for many of them. We therefore sought a location that was convenient for customers and suppliers while also allowing our employees to stay close to their families—something we consider essential.,” adds Assunta.
The new headquarters, located on Via Bruno Pontecorvo in Guidonia, is situated in a large commercial area close to the town center. More importantly, it is just a few kilometers from the Rome-L’Aquila-Teramo motorway and Via Tiburtina, making it an ideal location from a logistical perspective. Despite this convenience, it remains only twenty kilometers from the center of Rome.
The premises include a bright open space on the upper floor, which houses the technical and commercial offices. On the ground floor, there is a spacious workshop and warehouse. This new layout allows for a larger, well-organized stock of products, always ready for shipment.
“The growth of the company has literally imposed a more rigid and efficient organization on an operational and logistical level, such as the loading and unloading areas, the storage of goods, and greater room for maneuver in the warehouse,” continues Assunta. “Even the offices on the upper floor are very pleasant—bright and rational, an ideal space in which to work,” Assunta concludes.
LINK USA’s Expansion in Middleton
The same need for expansion arose for LINK USA in Middleton, a town in Wisconsin not far from Milwaukee.
“The Municipality of Middleton purchased the former LINK USA building to expand the school district. This provided the company with an opportunity to find a new location, still in Middleton, but with additional space and room for future growth,” says Bob Vanden Burgt of LINK USA.
“With the help of the citizens and the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, we were able to secure a space in the building previously occupied by Full Compass Systems—a professional audio distributor—and by Intelix, another company active in the audio field,” continues Bob.
The new «technology incubator for growth-stage companies» was the ideal place to meet LINK’s growth needs, which can now count on a large loading area, prototyping spaces, and shared workspaces with other companies active in the technological field.
“Working alongside other companies in the sector is very stimulating, and we recently organized an open day entitled Link Business Social Hour in partnership with the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, the Capital Brewery, FCS Partners, POLCO, and Rowheels, which received a great deal of public success,” concludes Bob.
